January 20th prayer

January 20th prayer…

Father God You heard the prayers of Your Son Jesus when he prayed for all believers. Jesus prayed that all believers would be united in Him just as You are in Jesus and He is in You. Jesus prayed that all who should believe in You should be united as one. Let us remember as sons and daughters of the one True God, that You passed on Your glory through Jesus Christ, that we might be glory bearers. For Jesus prayed these words, The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
John 17:22 ESV
We carry Your glory through Jesus Christ. My prayer Lord God is that we would conduct ourselves in such a manner that the world would see Your glory flowing out of Your church. Help us to come together in unity Lord. Let us be peaceable, loving, truthful, honorable, and forgiving. Let us be quick to show mercy and slow to speak. Help us to do a new thing today God. Unite us through Jesus Christ that we might show many more the way of salvation. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

January 19th prayer

January 19th prayer…

Father God I bow to Your supremacy. There is none more powerful than You. You command the wind, the sea, the sun, and the moon. You are the beginning and the end. A triune God who sees all, hears all, knows all, and still choses to forgive us! You alone are worthy of praise and worship. You are the creator of everything and yet You gave us the directive to rule and reign before we fell to sin and gave away the keys to the kingdom. Even then, You were faithful to us who were ignorant of the magnitude of what had just come to be. You made a way for us to still draw near to You in Your Son, Jesus. We are always on Your mind, You care for us. Your ways are still a mystery to us. Thank You for being a good good Father. That we may call You, Abba. We bless Your name and call You, Holy, Holy, Holy! In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

January 18th prayer

January 18th prayer…

Father God, I thank You that I was born in the USA. I have a great love for my country. You sent those who were fighting for religious freedom and against high taxes to establish a country You could be proud of. Help us Lord to turn back to You! Let this nation all repent and ask for forgiveness. America has become defiled in every way Lord. Send a rushing wind to cleanse the lawlessness and corruption from our government. Let our leaders bow the knee only to You Almighty God. Strip the big tech companies of the power they hold over our representatives, congressman, clergy, judges, and Presidential offices. Bring the media mountain down to dust for misleading and lying to the American people and the world. Send a host of angels to protect those who still look to You Lord for wisdom and guidance. Let new people who love You be elected into offices that are for the people and not for themselves. Help is make America great again Jesus. Shine Your glory on the corrupt and evil dealings of this establishment and bring them all to justice. I pray Jesus that Holy Spirit wash over law makers and lead them in all wisdom. We desire a better country while we are still occupying this land. For we know and hope for our future place that is in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

January 17th prayer…

January 17th prayer…

Father God your love for us is extravagant and, beyond measure. You made a way for us to come back to You even after the fall. You never leave us or forsake us. Jesus, Your only Son, was sent to defeat sin and death on our behalf. Thank You Father for giving us the choice to choose between life and death, blessing or curse. I chose life through Jesus Christ my risen King and that is the moment you resurrected me! I was dead in my transgressions and, now I am alive in Christ. A new creation meant to further the kingdom of my Father in heaven. Your ways are by far too extraordinary for mere humans to grasp so You reveal bits and pieces for us to understand. Help Lord in our faith to always keep our eyes fixed on You. Let all that we do reveal Your glory to a broken world. Remind us, Your church that we were created in Jesus Christ to preach the gospel and baptize new believers. Give Your church a new awakening to rule and reign as You commanded in the beginning. Forgive us Lord for trying to live in both worlds. Give us the courage to leave the old life behind and never turn back. Thank You Father for Your extravagant love. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

A Testimony of God’s Goodness

Today’s YouVersion verse of the day hits home for me! I was brought up by hard working parents who did everything they knew how to give their kids better lives than they had. They had the best intentions for us. We were spoiled children who got pretty much anything we wanted when we were little. It was in our teens that our family started to unravel. Adultery and lies broke our charmed existence. At age 18 I found adoption papers in my mother’s file cabinet… MY adoption papers. I was so confused! When confronted with those legal documents my mother shut down and, said it was for my own good. She refused to speak of it again. She made it very clear to me that the father who raised me was in fact my biological dad even though she was married to someone else. For the next 35 years I struggled with my identity. I don’t really remember much about my 20’s because I spent it intoxicated to numb the pain. When I was finally at the end of myself on this matter God gave me an angel! Robyn stepped up and volunteered to do a DNA test with me. What I knew in my heart was absolutely true, I was a Manspeaker not a Droste. It’s been almost a year ago now and, looking back over my life I see Jesus in it at every turn. Once I was saved my life started to do a 180°. I backslid pretty fast and that lasted for a few years. God again sent me an angel in Amy McClure who invited me to a bible study called Freedom by Nancy Tanton. That is where God grabbed hold of me and has never let me go. So, I look back and see that even though I suffered for a little while, God has kept his promise to me. He has set me on a firm foundation! He has restored my identity both as a person and a spirit. He has strengthened me like a sword is forged in fire. Jesus has equipped me for such a day as this. Holy Spirit has asked me to share this testimony in order that it touches someone else. Keep seeking God with all of your heart, and you WILL find Him.

Never give up! Never count it all as lost! Look to Jesus Christ and find your heart’s desire.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

A prayer for Guidance

Father God help me to lean on You and not my own understanding. When I don’t know which way to go or what decision to make, give me a word. Speak Your wisdom through those You have placed in my sphere of influence and give me the discernment to know it is from You Father. I believe in Your promises for me, that You have already gone before me to clear my path. I understand that life won’t always be easy. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and so shall we. When those times and lessons come show me the way I should go. Guide me Lord God in Your ways. Let there be no confusion in my heart or mind. Make Your way clear to me. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

For this God is our God forever
And ever;
He will be our guide even to death.
Psalm 48:14 MEV

A Short Prayer of healing for a friend

Father God, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend. I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer. I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give this friend the faith to believe that all things are possible for you. Protect her/him from Satan’s lies and discouragement and let a miraculous healing begin. In Jesus name I pray…Amen.

January 16th prayer

January 16th prayer…

Father God we are more than blessed by the spiritual wisdom that You make known to us. Your word says that wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord. Let the world see that You should be feared above all else. With the fear that is reverent not with a terrifying fear. You are a good good Father and, just like we obey our parents as little children we must always obey our heavenly Father who is able to see the end of our path. Impart godly wisdom upon those that You have called. The kind of wisdom James describes that is the wisdom from above. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. I pray Father that humanity would turn away from corruption. That peace would the goal.of every nation. That people would be gentle and open to reason. That we could all put the other above ourselves in mercy and generosity. Thank You Lord God for sending Jesus to walk in our flesh as an example of this wisdom and obedience. Let us long to become more and more like Jesus. Keeping our thoughts on those things that are of Your character. Being slow to anger, and quick to forgive. Let us be like little children once again when we obey You. I pray that You give us wisdom to mind what You say and ask of us without question. After all, we know that You will finish the work that You have started in us to its full completion. You only have good things for us so help us all God to have a faith that doesn’t waver or question. Let us fear the name of the Lord our God. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 ESV
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 3:13‭-‬18 NLT

A Mother’s Prayer

Father God

We praise you for children. No child is placed in a mother’s womb by coincidence. You know every life, and in your mastery knit us into the unique threads of humanity we are purposed to be with Your great love before we breathed our first breath of earthly air. Father, mold us into mothers that reflect 1Corinthians 13:4-7 love. We want to honor You in the way we love our children. Help us to be patient, when the hours are long, the wait seems impossible, and our strength fails us. Fill us with kindness, when our urge to criticize overwhelms us.

Father, create in us a delight for your truth, and a will to worship You in seasons of suffering and moments of triumphant accomplishment. As You protect us, enable us to protect our children, Father. Help us to build a bridge of trust with our children, and to pave a pathway to hope for them to find and embrace You, their Father and Creator. Father, motherhood is so overwhelmingly hard. What we cannot find the strength to do for ourselves, let us persevere so our children may see Your love for them reflected in our lives. We pray today, Father, for You to keep our children physically safe, and guard their hearts and minds. May their friendships be godly and God-centered, their relationships and marriages built on kindness and upon seeking You first.

Bless them to hear Your voice above all others, and find their purpose and passions early in life. May they never stop pursuing You and the talents and gifts You have given them. Go before us and forgive our mistakes as we do our best to raise our children, Father. Thank you for blessing us with the privilege to be such an intricate part of Your creation. Help us be at peace with what we cannot understand, and driven to work hard with what we know.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

A Prayer for Your Home

A Faithful Prayer for Your Home

Father God,

Today we praise You for home. Bless this space we share with the people you’ve placed around us. Father, you always forgive us, and never love us less. Help us to embrace that mentality when we walk through the doors to our home daily. As Colossians 3:13 reminds, help us to“bear with each other and forgive one another.” Families share four walls that witness each of us in a way the rest of the world does not. Create a safe haven for us at home, Father. Ignite in us the ability to embrace and encourage each other, flaws and good qualities alike. May we recognize each other’s strengths more than we are bothered by weaknesses.

Father, we ask Your forgiveness today for the moments we have lost our patience in the past and to come in the future. Grow us in wisdom to be mindful of our words. Convict us to serve each other and put our selfish pursuits and agendas aside. You have forgiven us, so we too can extend forgiveness to each other every day.

Thank you for giving us a support system, and a small army to pursue Your righteousness. Bless our home to be a welcoming example of Your love. Bless all who walk through our doors, and us as we exit them and walk out into the world each day. May the love we absorb at home be enough to embolden and sustain us as we walk throughout days at school, work, and through the pursuit of our passions and hobbies. Help us to be outward facing people, noticing those You place in our paths and looking for ways to love them.

Keep our home safe. Protect it from intruders and invaders who wish harm upon us. Bless our home with Your presence, Lord Jesus. Guard our home against the evil that plots to derail and confuse us. Give us the discernment to see and recognize attacks for what they are, and the strength of faith to turn from temptation when it rears its ugly head. Keep us pure in mind, body and spirit, Father. Let our home be a welcome refuge of peace for all who visit.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.
