A Prayer to Defeat Fear

Father God,

Because You are always with me, I can look fear in the eye and not be shaken. You strengthen me when I falter. You embolden me when I lack courage. I pray Father that Your righteous right hand always be upon me. Lead me in the way You have for me. You are my helper when I can’t figure our the way. Thank You Father for the precious way You love me. I ask today Lord that You would mold me more and more into the person You made me to be. Let me be less of what the world expects and, more like You every day. Let Your will be done in my life. Equip me Jesus for every battle through the victory that is in Your hand. Remind me that because You have already defeated sin and death, I can stand in that victory when I face trials of every kind. Because of Your selfless act on Golgotha I can come boldly before the mercy seat as a child of the most high God. What can man do to me?! Jesus, I ask that You train me up for the battle to come. In return Lord, let me train up others to be victorious through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sin and death have no hold on those that You call free. All glory and honor and worship to You God. In Jesus name, AMEN.

A Prayer to Be Ready For the Harvest

Father God,

You ask us to care for widows and orphans and also to have compassion and mercy on the needy. Let us look to You, Jesus as the example. Jesus I pray that over the next few years we as American Christians can help more of our people who silently live at or below the poverty line. Stir up a fire in Your church for those who don’t get to eat regularly. For those who don’t have a roof over their heads. For the ones who don’t have sufficient clothing. Show these groups to us Lord and compell us to be Your hands and feet so that we can help these people and, also show them the salvation that is waiting for them. Thank You Father that You gave us Jesus to model our lives after. I ask that you forgive us our sins, both known and unknown. Cleanse us of the stain of sin by the blood of Jesus. Equip us for the harvest Lord. In Jesus name, AMEN.

A Prayer For Strength

Father God Your grace is suffient for everything that I fail in. I thank You Father that Your Word shows us a glimpse of Your grace in Isaiah 40:30-31. You give us hope to hang on to in the waiting. You renew our strength when we feel frail. You take us to new heights of awareness concerning our faith. You allow us to soar! You are there with us always encouraging us to push through. Asking us to trust that You will not let us faint. When my faith starts to fail You I can count on Holy Spirit for new understanding. You see every step I take, every decision I make, and hear every thought I will ever have. YET, You still love me extravagantly. I bow down to my King and You ask me to come closer. Thank You Abba for adopting me into Your family, that I may called a co-heir with Jesus. I will continue to wait on You God. In my weakness You are strong and remind me that Your strength is something I have free access to as Your child. You amaze me! In Jesus name, AMEN.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

January 28th prayer

January 28th prayer…

Father God I come before You today as Your child. You adopted me into the family through Jesus Christ who died to pay my debt on the cross. I am a co-heir with Jesus. What a gift You have given me Abba, Father! To belong to Jesus and be drawn closer to You every day as a member of the family is a gift that I can rejoice in. I pray Jesus that we add many more billions of souls to this family so that the multitudes are living for You, the Messiah. As this Holy family grows to completion Lord I ask that I may have a part in bringing broken people closer to Jesus. Use me Lord to further the kingdom of heaven. You are more than a good good Father! I worship you Father like an infant worships it’s loving daddy. Thank You for knowing what’s best for me, for providing for my every need, for Your mercy and grace. I love You, Abba. In Jesus name, AMEN.

January 25th prayer

January 25th prayer…

Father God, thank you for sustaining your children in all seasons. Whether we are in good financial times or find ourselves with nothing, You are there to provide. Just like You commanded the ravens to feed Elijah in the morning and the evening You will feed your children. Because I am Your child I know that my needs will always be met. You gave us a way back to You through Jesus Christ, The Messiah. You parted the Red Sea for Moses, You gave Noah the plans for the Ark, You gave Joshua victory over the people who inhabited the promised land and You are still that God today. Your love, mercy, and grace abound to those who believe. To those who keep Your commandments and who are obedient to Your ways. Let us never forget that the Creator of the Universe sees everything we do, say, think, or wonder. I pray Father that Jesus would be the focus of every single person on this earth. What a beautiful place this could be. I pray that people help one another, be kind and generous, always forgiving, and never judging. Stir all people to turn away from sin and repent. Jesus is our example of how to be a human being. Let us resemble Him more each day. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen

January 20th prayer

January 20th prayer…

Father God You heard the prayers of Your Son Jesus when he prayed for all believers. Jesus prayed that all believers would be united in Him just as You are in Jesus and He is in You. Jesus prayed that all who should believe in You should be united as one. Let us remember as sons and daughters of the one True God, that You passed on Your glory through Jesus Christ, that we might be glory bearers. For Jesus prayed these words, The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
John 17:22 ESV
We carry Your glory through Jesus Christ. My prayer Lord God is that we would conduct ourselves in such a manner that the world would see Your glory flowing out of Your church. Help us to come together in unity Lord. Let us be peaceable, loving, truthful, honorable, and forgiving. Let us be quick to show mercy and slow to speak. Help us to do a new thing today God. Unite us through Jesus Christ that we might show many more the way of salvation. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

A Testimony of God’s Goodness

Today’s YouVersion verse of the day hits home for me! I was brought up by hard working parents who did everything they knew how to give their kids better lives than they had. They had the best intentions for us. We were spoiled children who got pretty much anything we wanted when we were little. It was in our teens that our family started to unravel. Adultery and lies broke our charmed existence. At age 18 I found adoption papers in my mother’s file cabinet… MY adoption papers. I was so confused! When confronted with those legal documents my mother shut down and, said it was for my own good. She refused to speak of it again. She made it very clear to me that the father who raised me was in fact my biological dad even though she was married to someone else. For the next 35 years I struggled with my identity. I don’t really remember much about my 20’s because I spent it intoxicated to numb the pain. When I was finally at the end of myself on this matter God gave me an angel! Robyn stepped up and volunteered to do a DNA test with me. What I knew in my heart was absolutely true, I was a Manspeaker not a Droste. It’s been almost a year ago now and, looking back over my life I see Jesus in it at every turn. Once I was saved my life started to do a 180°. I backslid pretty fast and that lasted for a few years. God again sent me an angel in Amy McClure who invited me to a bible study called Freedom by Nancy Tanton. That is where God grabbed hold of me and has never let me go. So, I look back and see that even though I suffered for a little while, God has kept his promise to me. He has set me on a firm foundation! He has restored my identity both as a person and a spirit. He has strengthened me like a sword is forged in fire. Jesus has equipped me for such a day as this. Holy Spirit has asked me to share this testimony in order that it touches someone else. Keep seeking God with all of your heart, and you WILL find Him.

Never give up! Never count it all as lost! Look to Jesus Christ and find your heart’s desire.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

January 16th prayer

January 16th prayer…

Father God we are more than blessed by the spiritual wisdom that You make known to us. Your word says that wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord. Let the world see that You should be feared above all else. With the fear that is reverent not with a terrifying fear. You are a good good Father and, just like we obey our parents as little children we must always obey our heavenly Father who is able to see the end of our path. Impart godly wisdom upon those that You have called. The kind of wisdom James describes that is the wisdom from above. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. I pray Father that humanity would turn away from corruption. That peace would the goal.of every nation. That people would be gentle and open to reason. That we could all put the other above ourselves in mercy and generosity. Thank You Lord God for sending Jesus to walk in our flesh as an example of this wisdom and obedience. Let us long to become more and more like Jesus. Keeping our thoughts on those things that are of Your character. Being slow to anger, and quick to forgive. Let us be like little children once again when we obey You. I pray that You give us wisdom to mind what You say and ask of us without question. After all, we know that You will finish the work that You have started in us to its full completion. You only have good things for us so help us all God to have a faith that doesn’t waver or question. Let us fear the name of the Lord our God. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 ESV
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 3:13‭-‬18 NLT

A Mother’s Prayer

Father God

We praise you for children. No child is placed in a mother’s womb by coincidence. You know every life, and in your mastery knit us into the unique threads of humanity we are purposed to be with Your great love before we breathed our first breath of earthly air. Father, mold us into mothers that reflect 1Corinthians 13:4-7 love. We want to honor You in the way we love our children. Help us to be patient, when the hours are long, the wait seems impossible, and our strength fails us. Fill us with kindness, when our urge to criticize overwhelms us.

Father, create in us a delight for your truth, and a will to worship You in seasons of suffering and moments of triumphant accomplishment. As You protect us, enable us to protect our children, Father. Help us to build a bridge of trust with our children, and to pave a pathway to hope for them to find and embrace You, their Father and Creator. Father, motherhood is so overwhelmingly hard. What we cannot find the strength to do for ourselves, let us persevere so our children may see Your love for them reflected in our lives. We pray today, Father, for You to keep our children physically safe, and guard their hearts and minds. May their friendships be godly and God-centered, their relationships and marriages built on kindness and upon seeking You first.

Bless them to hear Your voice above all others, and find their purpose and passions early in life. May they never stop pursuing You and the talents and gifts You have given them. Go before us and forgive our mistakes as we do our best to raise our children, Father. Thank you for blessing us with the privilege to be such an intricate part of Your creation. Help us be at peace with what we cannot understand, and driven to work hard with what we know.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.
