A Prayer for Family

Father God,

Your mercy and grace poured over me and, saved me from the road that leads away from You. You saw me grieving and, had compassion for me. You gave me comfort and called me Your own. I pray Jesus that many more of my family would know You the way I do. To understand that there is no peace in this world other than the peace that comes from You. Hear them, Lord. See them, Lord. Call them, Lord. You have shown me so many wonders and, I want my family to understand what I’ve seen. I need them to know You. I pray Lord Jesus that they would all be called Yours in my lifetime. Please grant me the favor of seeing that blessing. I want them to feel true love! You are the source of true love. God, you ARE love. Hear my cry, Lord. I have chosen life! In Deuteronomy 30:19-20 You say this…I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that both you AND your descendants may live, that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days, and that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.
Abba, I pray that their names are written on the palm of Your hand so that Your goodness and mercy will follow them all the days of their lives. in Jesus’ name, AMEN.

I waited and waited and waited some more, patiently, knowing God would come through for me. Then, at last, he bent down and listened to my cry. He stooped down to lift me out of danger from the desolate pit I was in, out of the muddy mess I had fallen into. Now he’s lifted me up into a firm, secure place and steadied me while I walk along his ascending path. A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him!

A Servant’s Prayer

Father God,

Today Father I come to you with a thankful heart. You have given me an example of what a servant heart looks like. I only want to serve You and those You send me to but, You remind me that I must serve everyone with the gifts you’ve given me. Just like Jesus Christ, I am to serve all people through kindness, compassion, love, generosity, and prayer. I pray Lord God, that You would continue developing great gifts in me. Tear down any walls in my heart that are hindering me from feeling Your presence so that I may hear You when You send me. Change all things in me that keep me from showing affection and love to those around me. Create in me a new heart again Lord. Let me serve well. In Jesus’ name, AMEN

A Prayer of Thanksgiving to the Master Builder

Father God,

I thank You Lord that You are a God of reconciliation. We are able to reconcile with You in spite of our sins because of the finished work of Christ. Just like the wall around Jerusalem, our relationships get torn down by the enemy. When You see that it’s time to rebuild You give us Your favor for that relationship just like You did with Nehemiah. You have the master plans to our lives Lord. It is when we look to You that we are given the instructions for the next build. I love Your plans for my life. Even the darkest days have ended up with so much grace that I can only be thankful in the end. You didn’t leave me to die in my grief when my brothers died, when my parents disowned me, or when I was faced with bi-lateral cancers, You were there! You are the Builder of my faith, the Lover of my heart, and the Peace in my storms. There is none like You! I worship the very thought of Your name! Thank You Lord that You have given me this day to build my faith, my friendships, my family, and my love for knowing more of You. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

February 8th prayer

Father God,

Your promises to us are precious and everlasting. You have promised to rebuild us and create us a new. This promise in Isaiah 54:11 says that You will create us into something precious like fine gems. You will give us a new heart that beats only for You, a new mind that thinks only of things that come from You, and a new spirit that only wants to do Your will. You are such an extravagant Father who only wants the best things for us. I praise Your goodness, faithfulness, grace, mercy, and judgement. For even though You judge, it is justly done. Thank you God for taking a sinner like me and giving me a foundation more precious than the finest gems, Jesus Christ. Jesus is higher than all with the name above all names. I will build my foundation on Him. In Jesus name. AMEN.

A Prayer of Service

Father God,

You are the Great Physician who has the power to heal and forgive our sins. I pray Lord that we as disciples of Christ would follow the example of those who did not quit when a paralytic needed healing. They carried a man who had no use of his legs to the feet of Jesus. To get there they had to find their way through the masses of people who gathered to hear Jesus teach. When they couldn’t find a way through to the house, they persevered and went on top of the house. They went so far as to remove the roof in order that this man be healed. They lowered him through the roof to receive healing from Jesus. Let us be more and more like the people carrying the paralytic. Let us serve others in such a self-less manner that the world can see Your glory. Let us not seek validation or accolades but let the glory go to our God. Show us the paralytic in our neighborhood, our workplace, or our every day places. Whisper to us what You would have us do in Your name and then send us Jesus. Let our service be a Testament to Your goodness and mercy. In Jesus name, AMEN.

A Prayer to Defeat Fear

Father God,

Because You are always with me, I can look fear in the eye and not be shaken. You strengthen me when I falter. You embolden me when I lack courage. I pray Father that Your righteous right hand always be upon me. Lead me in the way You have for me. You are my helper when I can’t figure our the way. Thank You Father for the precious way You love me. I ask today Lord that You would mold me more and more into the person You made me to be. Let me be less of what the world expects and, more like You every day. Let Your will be done in my life. Equip me Jesus for every battle through the victory that is in Your hand. Remind me that because You have already defeated sin and death, I can stand in that victory when I face trials of every kind. Because of Your selfless act on Golgotha I can come boldly before the mercy seat as a child of the most high God. What can man do to me?! Jesus, I ask that You train me up for the battle to come. In return Lord, let me train up others to be victorious through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sin and death have no hold on those that You call free. All glory and honor and worship to You God. A Prayer to Be Ready For the Harvest

Father God,

You ask us to care for widows and orphans and also to have compassion and mercy on the needy. Let us look to You, Jesus as the example. Jesus I pray that over the next few years we as American Christians can help more of our people who silently live at or below the poverty line. Stir up a fire in Your church for those who don’t get to eat regularly. For those who don’t have a roof over their heads. For the ones who don’t have sufficient clothing. Show these groups to us Lord and compell us to be Your hands and feet so that we can help these people and, also show them the salvation that is waiting for them. Thank You Father that You gave us Jesus to model our lives after. I ask that you forgive us our sins, both known and unknown. Cleanse us of the stain of sin by the blood of Jesus. Equip us for the harvest Lord. In Jesus name, AMEN.

A Prayer For Strength

Father God Your grace is suffient for everything that I fail in. I thank You Father that Your Word shows us a glimpse of Your grace in Isaiah 40:30-31. You give us hope to hang on to in the waiting. You renew our strength when we feel frail. You take us to new heights of awareness concerning our faith. You allow us to soar! You are there with us always encouraging us to push through. Asking us to trust that You will not let us faint. When my faith starts to fail You I can count on Holy Spirit for new understanding. You see every step I take, every decision I make, and hear every thought I will ever have. YET, You still love me extravagantly. I bow down to my King and You ask me to come closer. Thank You Abba for adopting me into Your family, that I may called a co-heir with Jesus. I will continue to wait on You God. In my weakness You are strong and remind me that Your strength is something I have free access to as Your child. You amaze me! In Jesus name, AMEN.

A prayer of repentance

Father God I repent of my sin and come before with a heart that longs for more of You. I pray Father that I could know more of You every day that allow me to wake. Mold me Jesus into a vessel for the Father. Consecrate me for service to the King. Lead me to the next thing You have for me and, hear my prayer. Send me Lord to the people who need encouragement today. Show me those who want to learn of the love You have for them. Create in me a heart that has no room for frivolous worldly things. Cover me Lord with the blood of Jesus and also all who I hold dear. I ask also for financial provision for all I love in Jesus. Thank You Father for loving me with a live far greater than I deserve. A Prayer of Rejoicing

Father God,
all the earth rejoices at the sound of Your voice. The trees delight in You and stretch high into the sky to be near You. The birds of the air soar high above the earth in order to sing You a new song every day of their lives. The wild animals trust that You will provide for them. Let humans be the same! I pray that You would change my nature every day that You allow me to wake. That I would take a note from the birds and sing to You from my soul. I depend on You Jesus to provide what my spirit needs. I wait to hear from You Oh God, that I might please You by being obedient. You, Yaweh are worthy of so much more than I know how to give. Yet, You love me as if I had given You the moon and stars. Create in me a new heart today Lord. Wash me from the stain of my sin with the blood of Jesus. Take me to the people You have a word for so that I may offer comfort and encouragement. Let Your living water flow through my life like a tidal wave. Forgive me of any sin knowingly committed or unknown. I will rejoice in today for You have created it! In Jesus name, AMEN.
