A Prayer to Defeat Fear

Father God,

Because You are always with me, I can look fear in the eye and not be shaken. You strengthen me when I falter. You embolden me when I lack courage. I pray Father that Your righteous right hand always be upon me. Lead me in the way You have for me. You are my helper when I can’t figure our the way. Thank You Father for the precious way You love me. I ask today Lord that You would mold me more and more into the person You made me to be. Let me be less of what the world expects and, more like You every day. Let Your will be done in my life. Equip me Jesus for every battle through the victory that is in Your hand. Remind me that because You have already defeated sin and death, I can stand in that victory when I face trials of every kind. Because of Your selfless act on Golgotha I can come boldly before the mercy seat as a child of the most high God. What can man do to me?! Jesus, I ask that You train me up for the battle to come. In return Lord, let me train up others to be victorious through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sin and death have no hold on those that You call free. All glory and honor and worship to You God. In Jesus name, AMEN.

A Prayer For Strength

Father God Your grace is suffient for everything that I fail in. I thank You Father that Your Word shows us a glimpse of Your grace in Isaiah 40:30-31. You give us hope to hang on to in the waiting. You renew our strength when we feel frail. You take us to new heights of awareness concerning our faith. You allow us to soar! You are there with us always encouraging us to push through. Asking us to trust that You will not let us faint. When my faith starts to fail You I can count on Holy Spirit for new understanding. You see every step I take, every decision I make, and hear every thought I will ever have. YET, You still love me extravagantly. I bow down to my King and You ask me to come closer. Thank You Abba for adopting me into Your family, that I may called a co-heir with Jesus. I will continue to wait on You God. In my weakness You are strong and remind me that Your strength is something I have free access to as Your child. You amaze me! In Jesus name, AMEN.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

A prayer for purpose

A prayer for purpose.

Father God, Your word says that You have a plan for each of us. That this plan is not for calamity but, instead for a future and a hope. I thank You Abba that my future is in Your hands and for that reason I am blessed indeed. I do not have to fear failure because, I only need to be obedient and listen to Your instructions and my future is full of good things. Father, I lift those in prayer who suffer from depression, anxiety, those who don’t know their true identity, and those who do not learn from their wandering. When we wander it is always away from You so this is the reason people lose track of their purpose. I thank You Lord that because I choose to sit at Your feet, I will always know who I am. My purpose is to worship You. To know You through Your Word and to tell others of Your goodness. I am a spiritual warrior with Jesus as my General. I know that my prayers are collected in heaven and when my bowls are full I can count on You releasing Your power and grace into the prayers I have prayed. Father God, I pray that those who are lost will be found at an increased rate in these days. I pray for a stirring of the Spirit for revival. In Jesus holy name. AMEN

January 28th prayer

January 28th prayer…

Father God I come before You today as Your child. You adopted me into the family through Jesus Christ who died to pay my debt on the cross. I am a co-heir with Jesus. What a gift You have given me Abba, Father! To belong to Jesus and be drawn closer to You every day as a member of the family is a gift that I can rejoice in. I pray Jesus that we add many more billions of souls to this family so that the multitudes are living for You, the Messiah. As this Holy family grows to completion Lord I ask that I may have a part in bringing broken people closer to Jesus. Use me Lord to further the kingdom of heaven. You are more than a good good Father! I worship you Father like an infant worships it’s loving daddy. Thank You for knowing what’s best for me, for providing for my every need, for Your mercy and grace. I love You, Abba. In Jesus name, AMEN.

January 27th prayer

January 27th prayer…

Father God today I praise Your ways. They seem extreme and foreign to those who don’t know You, if I’m honest I agree that sometimes we who are called believers don’t always understand. We have faith that Your divine wisdom is perfect for every circumstance. You made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be the sin offering for the world. Jesus gave us the power to defeat the attacks of the devil and to resist him. Satan goes around like a roaring lion seeking something to devour. As Your children we never fear these roars! We stand firm in Jesus and resist the devil so that when he looks our way what he sees opposite of him is Jesus, who defeated him. This is the victory that we stand in every day. The victory of Jesus over sin and death! Today Jesus, hear our prayers for healing, union, peace, forgiveness, identity, and mercy. Let our prayers be collected with those of the other children of God to be presented to our God and Father as a sweet smelling incense. We worship our God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit as our sovereign Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

January 26th prayer

January 26th prayer…

Father God you have created us to be fearless through Jesus Christ. You have given us power through the Holy Spirit that is alive in us. Thank you Almighty Father for giving us new life in Jesus and creating a new heart within us. You changed the hearts and minds of Your children to be that which is filled with love, for You are love. Thank You Lord for a new life in You, through You and for You. We no longer need to fear for we have the power to overcome as children of the King of Kings. We can go boldly into this life with the Light of Truth to illuminate our way. Help us Jesus to exhibit self-control in all situations. You, Jesus are the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through You. I bow down to Your supremacy Jesus. Help us all to go boldly, without fear today to share Your love with others through the power of Holy Spirirt. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

January 25th prayer

January 25th prayer…

Father God, thank you for sustaining your children in all seasons. Whether we are in good financial times or find ourselves with nothing, You are there to provide. Just like You commanded the ravens to feed Elijah in the morning and the evening You will feed your children. Because I am Your child I know that my needs will always be met. You gave us a way back to You through Jesus Christ, The Messiah. You parted the Red Sea for Moses, You gave Noah the plans for the Ark, You gave Joshua victory over the people who inhabited the promised land and You are still that God today. Your love, mercy, and grace abound to those who believe. To those who keep Your commandments and who are obedient to Your ways. Let us never forget that the Creator of the Universe sees everything we do, say, think, or wonder. I pray Father that Jesus would be the focus of every single person on this earth. What a beautiful place this could be. I pray that people help one another, be kind and generous, always forgiving, and never judging. Stir all people to turn away from sin and repent. Jesus is our example of how to be a human being. Let us resemble Him more each day. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen

January 20th prayer

January 20th prayer…

Father God You heard the prayers of Your Son Jesus when he prayed for all believers. Jesus prayed that all believers would be united in Him just as You are in Jesus and He is in You. Jesus prayed that all who should believe in You should be united as one. Let us remember as sons and daughters of the one True God, that You passed on Your glory through Jesus Christ, that we might be glory bearers. For Jesus prayed these words, The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
John 17:22 ESV
We carry Your glory through Jesus Christ. My prayer Lord God is that we would conduct ourselves in such a manner that the world would see Your glory flowing out of Your church. Help us to come together in unity Lord. Let us be peaceable, loving, truthful, honorable, and forgiving. Let us be quick to show mercy and slow to speak. Help us to do a new thing today God. Unite us through Jesus Christ that we might show many more the way of salvation. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

A Testimony of God’s Goodness

Today’s YouVersion verse of the day hits home for me! I was brought up by hard working parents who did everything they knew how to give their kids better lives than they had. They had the best intentions for us. We were spoiled children who got pretty much anything we wanted when we were little. It was in our teens that our family started to unravel. Adultery and lies broke our charmed existence. At age 18 I found adoption papers in my mother’s file cabinet… MY adoption papers. I was so confused! When confronted with those legal documents my mother shut down and, said it was for my own good. She refused to speak of it again. She made it very clear to me that the father who raised me was in fact my biological dad even though she was married to someone else. For the next 35 years I struggled with my identity. I don’t really remember much about my 20’s because I spent it intoxicated to numb the pain. When I was finally at the end of myself on this matter God gave me an angel! Robyn stepped up and volunteered to do a DNA test with me. What I knew in my heart was absolutely true, I was a Manspeaker not a Droste. It’s been almost a year ago now and, looking back over my life I see Jesus in it at every turn. Once I was saved my life started to do a 180°. I backslid pretty fast and that lasted for a few years. God again sent me an angel in Amy McClure who invited me to a bible study called Freedom by Nancy Tanton. That is where God grabbed hold of me and has never let me go. So, I look back and see that even though I suffered for a little while, God has kept his promise to me. He has set me on a firm foundation! He has restored my identity both as a person and a spirit. He has strengthened me like a sword is forged in fire. Jesus has equipped me for such a day as this. Holy Spirit has asked me to share this testimony in order that it touches someone else. Keep seeking God with all of your heart, and you WILL find Him.

Never give up! Never count it all as lost! Look to Jesus Christ and find your heart’s desire.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

A prayer of salvation

Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen.

If you said this prayer with repentance in your heart you are now a child of God. I encourage you to find a church that will embrace you and, teach you about Jesus. He died for you so it’s imperative that you know who He is. My prayer for you as a new Christian is that you would know the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit intimately. Follow Jesus. Turn from your old life and embrace the grace God has given you. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
