I thank You Lord that You are a God of reconciliation. We are able to reconcile with You in spite of our sins because of the finished work of Christ. Just like the wall around Jerusalem, our relationships get torn down by the enemy. When You see that it’s time to rebuild You give us Your favor for that relationship just like You did with Nehemiah. You have the master plans to our lives Lord. It is when we look to You that we are given the instructions for the next build. I love Your plans for my life. Even the darkest days have ended up with so much grace that I can only be thankful in the end. You didn’t leave me to die in my grief when my brothers died, when my parents disowned me, or when I was faced with bi-lateral cancers, You were there! You are the Builder of my faith, the Lover of my heart, and the Peace in my storms. There is none like You! I worship the very thought of Your name! Thank You Lord that You have given me this day to build my faith, my friendships, my family, and my love for knowing more of You. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
You ask us to care for widows and orphans and also to have compassion and mercy on the needy. Let us look to You, Jesus as the example. Jesus I pray that over the next few years we as American Christians can help more of our people who silently live at or below the poverty line. Stir up a fire in Your church for those who don’t get to eat regularly. For those who don’t have a roof over their heads. For the ones who don’t have sufficient clothing. Show these groups to us Lord and compell us to be Your hands and feet so that we can help these people and, also show them the salvation that is waiting for them. Thank You Father that You gave us Jesus to model our lives after. I ask that you forgive us our sins, both known and unknown. Cleanse us of the stain of sin by the blood of Jesus. Equip us for the harvest Lord. In Jesus name, AMEN.
Father God Your grace is suffient for everything that I fail in. I thank You Father that Your Word shows us a glimpse of Your grace in Isaiah 40:30-31. You give us hope to hang on to in the waiting. You renew our strength when we feel frail. You take us to new heights of awareness concerning our faith. You allow us to soar! You are there with us always encouraging us to push through. Asking us to trust that You will not let us faint. When my faith starts to fail You I can count on Holy Spirit for new understanding. You see every step I take, every decision I make, and hear every thought I will ever have. YET, You still love me extravagantly. I bow down to my King and You ask me to come closer. Thank You Abba for adopting me into Your family, that I may called a co-heir with Jesus. I will continue to wait on You God. In my weakness You are strong and remind me that Your strength is something I have free access to as Your child. You amaze me! In Jesus name, AMEN.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Father God I come before You today as Your child. You adopted me into the family through Jesus Christ who died to pay my debt on the cross. I am a co-heir with Jesus. What a gift You have given me Abba, Father! To belong to Jesus and be drawn closer to You every day as a member of the family is a gift that I can rejoice in. I pray Jesus that we add many more billions of souls to this family so that the multitudes are living for You, the Messiah. As this Holy family grows to completion Lord I ask that I may have a part in bringing broken people closer to Jesus. Use me Lord to further the kingdom of heaven. You are more than a good good Father! I worship you Father like an infant worships it’s loving daddy. Thank You for knowing what’s best for me, for providing for my every need, for Your mercy and grace. I love You, Abba. In Jesus name, AMEN.
Father God You heard the prayers of Your Son Jesus when he prayed for all believers. Jesus prayed that all believers would be united in Him just as You are in Jesus and He is in You. Jesus prayed that all who should believe in You should be united as one. Let us remember as sons and daughters of the one True God, that You passed on Your glory through Jesus Christ, that we might be glory bearers. For Jesus prayed these words, The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, John 17:22 ESV We carry Your glory through Jesus Christ. My prayer Lord God is that we would conduct ourselves in such a manner that the world would see Your glory flowing out of Your church. Help us to come together in unity Lord. Let us be peaceable, loving, truthful, honorable, and forgiving. Let us be quick to show mercy and slow to speak. Help us to do a new thing today God. Unite us through Jesus Christ that we might show many more the way of salvation. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Today’s YouVersion verse of the day hits home for me! I was brought up by hard working parents who did everything they knew how to give their kids better lives than they had. They had the best intentions for us. We were spoiled children who got pretty much anything we wanted when we were little. It was in our teens that our family started to unravel. Adultery and lies broke our charmed existence. At age 18 I found adoption papers in my mother’s file cabinet… MY adoption papers. I was so confused! When confronted with those legal documents my mother shut down and, said it was for my own good. She refused to speak of it again. She made it very clear to me that the father who raised me was in fact my biological dad even though she was married to someone else. For the next 35 years I struggled with my identity. I don’t really remember much about my 20’s because I spent it intoxicated to numb the pain. When I was finally at the end of myself on this matter God gave me an angel! Robyn stepped up and volunteered to do a DNA test with me. What I knew in my heart was absolutely true, I was a Manspeaker not a Droste. It’s been almost a year ago now and, looking back over my life I see Jesus in it at every turn. Once I was saved my life started to do a 180°. I backslid pretty fast and that lasted for a few years. God again sent me an angel in Amy McClure who invited me to a bible study called Freedom by Nancy Tanton. That is where God grabbed hold of me and has never let me go. So, I look back and see that even though I suffered for a little while, God has kept his promise to me. He has set me on a firm foundation! He has restored my identity both as a person and a spirit. He has strengthened me like a sword is forged in fire. Jesus has equipped me for such a day as this. Holy Spirit has asked me to share this testimony in order that it touches someone else. Keep seeking God with all of your heart, and you WILL find Him.
Never give up! Never count it all as lost! Look to Jesus Christ and find your heart’s desire.
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 1 Peter 5:10 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/1pe.5.10.NLT
We praise you for children. No child is placed in a mother’s womb by coincidence. You know every life, and in your mastery knit us into the unique threads of humanity we are purposed to be with Your great love before we breathed our first breath of earthly air. Father, mold us into mothers that reflect 1Corinthians 13:4-7 love. We want to honor You in the way we love our children. Help us to be patient, when the hours are long, the wait seems impossible, and our strength fails us. Fill us with kindness, when our urge to criticize overwhelms us.
Father, create in us a delight for your truth, and a will to worship You in seasons of suffering and moments of triumphant accomplishment. As You protect us, enable us to protect our children, Father. Help us to build a bridge of trust with our children, and to pave a pathway to hope for them to find and embrace You, their Father and Creator. Father, motherhood is so overwhelmingly hard. What we cannot find the strength to do for ourselves, let us persevere so our children may see Your love for them reflected in our lives. We pray today, Father, for You to keep our children physically safe, and guard their hearts and minds. May their friendships be godly and God-centered, their relationships and marriages built on kindness and upon seeking You first.
Bless them to hear Your voice above all others, and find their purpose and passions early in life. May they never stop pursuing You and the talents and gifts You have given them. Go before us and forgive our mistakes as we do our best to raise our children, Father. Thank you for blessing us with the privilege to be such an intricate part of Your creation. Help us be at peace with what we cannot understand, and driven to work hard with what we know.
Today we praise You for home. Bless this space we share with the people you’ve placed around us. Father, you always forgive us, and never love us less. Help us to embrace that mentality when we walk through the doors to our home daily. As Colossians 3:13 reminds, help us to“bear with each other and forgive one another.” Families share four walls that witness each of us in a way the rest of the world does not. Create a safe haven for us at home, Father. Ignite in us the ability to embrace and encourage each other, flaws and good qualities alike. May we recognize each other’s strengths more than we are bothered by weaknesses.
Father, we ask Your forgiveness today for the moments we have lost our patience in the past and to come in the future. Grow us in wisdom to be mindful of our words. Convict us to serve each other and put our selfish pursuits and agendas aside. You have forgiven us, so we too can extend forgiveness to each other every day.
Thank you for giving us a support system, and a small army to pursue Your righteousness. Bless our home to be a welcoming example of Your love. Bless all who walk through our doors, and us as we exit them and walk out into the world each day. May the love we absorb at home be enough to embolden and sustain us as we walk throughout days at school, work, and through the pursuit of our passions and hobbies. Help us to be outward facing people, noticing those You place in our paths and looking for ways to love them.
Keep our home safe. Protect it from intruders and invaders who wish harm upon us. Bless our home with Your presence, Lord Jesus. Guard our home against the evil that plots to derail and confuse us. Give us the discernment to see and recognize attacks for what they are, and the strength of faith to turn from temptation when it rears its ugly head. Keep us pure in mind, body and spirit, Father. Let our home be a welcome refuge of peace for all who visit.
