Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen.
If you said this prayer with repentance in your heart you are now a child of God. I encourage you to find a church that will embrace you and, teach you about Jesus. He died for you so it’s imperative that you know who He is. My prayer for you as a new Christian is that you would know the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit intimately. Follow Jesus. Turn from your old life and embrace the grace God has given you. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Father God I thank You this morning for the protective covering You have over me and mine. Nothing on this earth or in the spiritual realm can come against those which Your hand is upon. The weapons will most certainly be formed, to no avail, they will not prosper! Father I am weak. I don’t have the strength within myself to fight these giants. Your word says that when I am weak, You are strong. Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. Through Jesus You give us victory over death, sin, and evil. Let Your righteousness prevail in America right now. Remind us, Your children that we are not powerless in Jesus Christ. Prepare us Lord for what lies ahead. Let Your countenance be our guide. Let peace wash over the lives of Your children. Let faith arise in a new awakening that leads to salvation for the multitudes. Help us, Your church to prepare to minister to the broken, intercede in prayer for the downtrodden, and lift up those who have no strength. I pray Lord God that a sweet smelling incense would waft up through the heavens when we worship. Let our worship tear down strongholds that the enemy loves to hide in. Give us a fresh filling of Holy Spirit and, teach us to use our authority through Jesus Christ. Increase our faith Father. Forgive us of every sin we may have committed, both knowingly and those which are unknown. My prayer for this nation is repentance. When we confess our sins and have repentance in our hearts, I believe You will restore our land. Let the name above all names, Jesus Christ, be on our lips for there is nothing more powerful. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world, and therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God, and whoever knows God listens to us. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:4-6 MEV https://bible.com/bible/1171/1jn.4.4-6.MEV
Father God we are made brand new in Jesus Christ the moment we accept salvation. How great are Your plans! We become a new creation with a new heart that is tender toward our King. We are brought out of this present darkness and into the Light that is Jesus Christ. We no longer live in darkness. Thank You God for rescuing us from the realm that leads to death. You love us before we are even born. You create us, each one, for a very special purpose. When we make the choice to follow Jesus we leave that old life behind. I pray Lord God that every Christian and all those to come, would never look back to what was once comfortable. There is nothing back there for us. Our future lies in Jesus, the King of all Kings. We no longer live in sin and darkness so why would we ever want to go back, even to visit it? Let us press on and stay uncomfortable! When we are uncomfortable we are experiencing new things, learning, growing and, discovering a new plan. Help us Jesus to forever leave the old self where it belongs, dead and buried! Let us not try to resurrect that which was meant to be forgotten. Lead us Jesus to the peace that defies all understanding. Show us Your glory Lord. Reveal Your likeness when we look into the mirror. Let no resemblance of our old self be seen there. I pray for a fresh filling of Holy Spirit today Father. Well up in our very souls the fountain which satisfies all thirst. Let us rest at the feet of our risen Savior. Reveal to us God that nothing remains for us on that other side. Our hope lies in Jesus and nothing else will ever compare. I praise you Lord God for Your emense love, Your unwavering faithfulness, Your sovereign leadership, and Your grace that is always enough. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
Father God our spiritual food comes from You, our amazing Triune God. Nothing else will satisfy our souls. We can achieve many great things, earn trophies, and make millions of dollars in this world yet somehow still be longing for sustenance. Only when we come into Your presence can our hunger and thirst be quenched. Lord I pray today for all those who are still lost despite their efforts. Open their ears to hear, soften their hearts so You may enter. Lead them today Jesus to the well that forever satisfies their thirst. Let them enjoy the Bread of Life even in the presence of their enemies. Speak to their souls louder than the voice of death. Raise them up from the grave and anoint them Lord. Give them all the inheritance that Jesus shares as children of God. Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for being my spiritual food and drink. I am not and can never be worthy of the gift of Holy Spirit, yet You sent Him to dwell in me. You freely gave Your life on the cross so that I may see the glory of God, the Most High. At great cost, You stepped into my chaos and came out the Victor. Call all who are seeking that which will curb their hunger, quiet the voices, and quench the thirst that can never be satisfied. Let them eat the Bread of Life and drink the wine that is Your blood with a clean and full heart. Only then Lord will their perspective be for the kingdom so that they have no concern for this world. I pray for all of the lost today Father. Chase them down. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Isaiah 55:1-2 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/isa.55.1-2.ESV
When we compare ourselves with other people we are creating an open door for the prince of lies. Comparison tells us that we are either better than others, or fall short of what others view as successful.
This has never been more of an issue than it is today, with all the social media sites out there. We have started to gauge our relationships by how many “likes” and “shares” we have. When people don’t respond in the way we want we start to compare ourselves. I guess that person is taller than me, that person has more friends than me, that person has pretty blond hair, that person is skinny or in shape, wow he prays for 3 hours a day! etc. etc. etc. You can fill in the blank here. By comparing we either build up ourselves to the point of narcissism or, we tear ourselves down to the point of depression. Either way the end result is killing your joy! Exactly what the enemy wants.
God made each of us unique in the way that He wanted, so that we could be used by Him to further the kingdom of God. That little quirk that you have is the one thing that sets you apart from the masses. The one thing that you may dislike about yourself could be the thing that God put there for His use. You may have a tendency to talk too much. Maybe God needs you to spread the gospel. Whatever your thing is try to see the good in it. People may call you weak because you cry a lot. Your tender heart my be what helps console others who are sick or hurting. People may say that you are pushy. Could it be that you are the one God wants to use as a mission coordinator? They say that you think you are “Holier than thou”! God delights in your faithfullness and, 3 hour prayer time.
So, for you to compare yourself to others, is to deny what God has intended for your life. Don’t be a slave to comparison. You are exactly what the world needed when God made you! This world needs you to be…. Y.O.U.
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
There are a bunch of verses out there that help us see the truth about comparison. I encourage you to search for them. Then write them down and, put them in a place that you will find them when you need encouraged.
In ancient times people stored their treasures in pottery jars which were molded by a skilled Potter and then baked until hard. He would decorate them with glaze or, paint and give them an ornate lid. Still, some were more functional and baked without adornment. These were all used to hold sacred scrolls or valuable documents. Pottery jars whether beautifully decorated or purely functional had one thing in common, they were fragile, temporary vessels. Just like these jars were made from earthen clay, our bodies were also formed from the earth. Genesis 2:7 HCSBThen the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being. Our bodies were created by God for many different purposes. Our bodies are God’s own creation, perfectly designed, and also temporary. Much like these clay jars, our bodies are only temporal vessels to house God’s most precious gift; the Light of the world. We come in different shapes, sizes, and colors but, we are all broken. Tiny cracks start to form when we are hurt or shaken. Those fine little cracks begin to go deeper and deeper as we face the pitfalls of living in a fallen world. Then finally, one day those small fissures become gaping cracks. Maybe we have lost a loved one, been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, or deceived by someone we trusted. Whatever the case, we will be broken. This isn’t the end however if we let The Potter who created us fill those cracks with the Light that existed in the beginning; Jesus Christ. When we accept Christ as our savior through his death and resurrection, we are made new. We are born again. Supernaturally made whole for an eternal purpose. Our broken bodies become vessels for God’s own spirit. When we allow Holy Spirit to dwell in us, we will reveal the Light in the darkness. Letting the Light that is Jesus Christ illuminate the world around us through our brokenness 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 HCSBFor God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness, ” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. The Apostle Paul goes on in 2 Corinthians 4:8 to write about how we are afflicted in many ways but not crushed, we are perplexed but not in despair, we are persecuted but not abandoned, and we are struck but not destroyed. Paul’s words written so long ago are relevant to our lives today. If we have Christ in us, we can overcome anything by His power. Are YOU broken, feeling defeated, abandoned, or destroyed? I am here to tell you that now is the time to come to Jesus Christ. In these dark times, we should celebrate because Jesus is always near! You don’t have to go through life shattered into a million pieces. I can testify by my life that the Messiah saved me, redeemed me, chose me, resurrected me, adopted me, and made me new by His blood, shed for all. I may be a broken and mended vessel but, God still chooses to use me for His kingdom. He equips me for Divine purpose and, He has gifts to give YOU as well. So, I pray that everyone who reads these words will see the value of their brokenness. Let the Light of the World shine through your cracks so that those around you may have hope. In Jesus, keep the faith,
This life we live in times of trouble can only be faced successfully when we turn to the bible for answers. Many will oppose us for having this belief. A belief that God will go before us, that God is our refuge, and our stronghold. Society today will pose the question, “Where is your god now?” when we face trials that appear to be impossible to overcome. It is in those times that we must focus our hearts and minds on Jesus’ victory. When we as Christians are faced with terrifying situations the bible tells us many times to BE STRONG, BE COURAGEOUS, DO NOT FEAR, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED. As humans who live in a world full of uncertainty we sometimes find it hard to remember that God has already cleared our way. I have faced many scary events in my life. I came to my belief in Jesus Christ because of a life event that brought me to my knees. Over the years God has shown me that I CAN face these trials without fear and trembling because Jesus never leaves me. I look back and see that evidence through out my history.
The bible tells us:’Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Father God, my soul seeks you out like a deer searches for a stream. You feed my soul, You nourish my soul with the manna that is Your Word. Praise is on my lips and, I will speak of Your goodness and mercy all of my days. You protect me in both the physical and spiritual worlds. You keep me from evil as if You cloak me from the enemie’s eyes. You provide for my every need Jesus. I am not worthy of such goodness yet You give it lavishly. Why? Because You call me daughter, You have taken me into Your family Abba, Father. You made me an heir with Jesus Christ. I am a child of God! I will sing Your praises for eternity Lord. I lift up Your name and bless it today God. I have faith that even now in these uncertain times, You have already made a way for me. Thank You Father for caring for me, mind, body, and soul. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Father God You are righteous in judgement and faithful to complete that which You set in motion. You have stirred up a remnant Jesus! A remnant that proclaims that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD! You God are in control and I believe that You are making a way for good and preparing to reveal all evil. Have Your way Lord! Make that which is low sit upon the throne of this nation. Break the bondage of oppression, destroy everything born of lies. Restore us Lord as a nation after Your own heart. Remove anything that silences our voice. Come in like lion and take back this country as Your own. Shine Your glory on our White House which will reveal the enemy lying in wait. I pray the blood of Jesus over America. Protect us Lord God. Help us to be what You intended us to be. Restore our standing in the world Jesus. Show us Your power and glory Jehovah-Jireh. Provide victory over liars and deceivers who do the work of Satan. I pray Lord Jesus that Americans repent this day and turn back to You. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father You designed us to be discerning, intelligent, and thoughtful beings in Your image. Thank You God for giving us a choice. You gave us the choice between life and death, blessings or curses. Then Lord, You honor that choice. I have chosen life! I chose You Jesus, the living Christ. I chose the one true God who knit me together. My prayer today Jesus is that all of my people would also chose life. That they may see blessings and not curses. I cover all of my family, loved ones, and people in my circle of influence with the blood of Jesus. Father, let them witness Your hand on my life and, decide for themselves that a life in Jesus is the only choice. Let my transformed life be a blessing and an encouragement to those around me Lord. I praise Your goodness and faithfulness oh God. You never give up on me! You pursued me until the day I fell on my knees in anguish and, cried out for salvation. Let my people see You in my life! Let my testimony sound like a bell that draws people to You. I was dead in my transgressions! You saved me from the pit and set me high on mountain tops. Even when I walk in the valley, You are there with me. There is nowhere that I will ever be that You are not at my side. I pray Your agape love touches the hearts, minds, and souls of my family, friends, and loved ones. Thank You Father for giving me the choice. Thank You for honoring my choice. Thank You for blessing my life and my descendants because of my choice. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
